In early September, the fifth institution opened on Bolshaya Dmitrovka restaurant chain True Cost with an honest cost of food. Muscovites liked the concept of the restaurant “entrance fee + meals at cost” so much that in 2016 the True Cost project was awarded the “Palm Branch”. Opened in KhamovnikiLogovo restaurant with panoramic windows and views of the embankment. Chef Fabrice LeCuan has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and was the personal chef of the French Ambassador to Russia. The menu is based on French dishes: onion soup (520 rubles), Burgundy escargot (720 rubles), veal drumstick croquet with foie gras (1280 rubles). Those who lead a healthy lifestyle will also find something to please themselves, for example, a salad with broccoli and young spinach (440 rubles) or cod with artichokes (880 rubles). The main highlight of the restaurant is the hunting menu, which will change depending on the season.

Extra Virgin Restaurant

A huge wood-burning oven, a glass dairy room and exemplary service are new Extra Virgin restaurant… The menu from brand chef Anton Nikiforov turned out to be laconic and simple with an emphasis on quality and variety. There is a market on the territory of the restaurant, so you always have the opportunity to take home fresh bread, olive oil, wine or something à la carte.

On the 5th floor of the Tsvetnoy department store opened food court “Briquette Market”, which accommodated both beginners and experienced participants of a similar format: Georgian cuisine at Madame Ghalifa, vegetarian dishes at 5 + 2, iconic American pasta with various toppings at Mac & Cheese, poultry dishes at Chicken & Duck, poke and smoothies – bowls from Soul in the bowl, authentic dishes of the peoples of the Caucasus in the “Dagestan shop”, Indian street food in “Caution! Bar “Cabinet 3.14” – a place where anyone can get who has taken care of the reservation in advance and follows the dress code. No flashes of smartphones cameras (they will be stuck with stickers at the entrance), no bright light and a minimum of decorations – nothing should distract from cocktails and conversation, except perhaps rare music concerts or poetry readings. Small bar with 45 seats Big asia opened in the same building as the Bigati Bar. Restaurateur Alan Bigati has created a place for those who appreciate unusual spirits and complex cocktails. Steven Sharma, a bartender with Hindu roots from St. Petersburg, worked on the cocktail list. Brand chef Timur Abuzyarov has collected the best on the menu: nems from fresh rice dough with shrimps, mango, tobiko and peanut sauce (430 rubles), spring rolls with chicken and ginger-peanut sauce (330 rubles), Singapore laksa (490 rubles), Thai tom yam (490 rubles), buckwheat noodles with beef and Black Pepper sauce (390 rubles), rice with gongbao chicken fried with peanuts and red pepper (390 rubles).

Corner Saint Salmon

A new corner opened at the food court of the Usachevsky market – Saint Salmon from the famous Altai chef Mikhail Khmelinin. The menu of the new project includes fish and seafood, meat and poultry, several types of bruschetta (from 580 rubles). Mikhail prepares many light dishes from salmon that go well with wine. The vegetarians were not offended: the menu also includes bruschetta with asparagus, zucchini, artichokes and avocado (390 rubles) and a salad with avocado, zucchini, beans, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, dressed with ginger sauce (390 rubles). And for meat-eaters, we recommend that you look at the grill section: here you can find Denver, salmon steak, roast beef, and bavette, with vegetables from a wood-fired oven as a side dish.

Bloodlust Restaurant

Authors and ideologists new project “Bloodlust” Igor Zhuravlev and Pavel Potseluev are real meat experts. Pavel Potseluev can be generally considered the first meat sommelier in Russia, because his knowledge of meat is truly encyclopedic. The menu includes dishes from meat, poultry, fish, seafood, vegetables or green salads. Once a week, the restaurant hosts a unique event that has no analogues in Russia – meat chef’s table. 5 lucky people will be able to taste steaks from different countries, find out what is the difference between grass and grain feeding, argue and ask questions.

Opened next to the theater on Malaya Bronnaya cozy brasserie L’apero, the name of which means “aperitif” in translation. The project turned out to be small, with only 45 seats, but thanks to the efforts of the designer Ekaterina Vladimirova, it was bright, cheerful and airy. The chef of the brasserie took the European cuisine as a basis – the dishes are simple, but bright and with fiction.

Cafe Gina cafe

Cafe Gina from brand chef Flavio Biasatti and chef Anzur Zalilov named after the Italian actress Gina Lolobrigida and it is easy to imagine this smart and talented woman in the elegant interior of the cafe. The impeccable quality of the products, the convenient location, the authenticity of the recipes and the democratic pricing policy are worth coming here for. The setting is equally suitable for a romantic meeting, for breakfast with friends, and for business negotiations. Breakfasts are presented with classic syrniki with blueberries (350 rubles), poached egg with asparagus and hollandaise sauce (450 rubles) or oatmeal with berries (250 rubles). On the first floor of the “House of Cultures” a new project has opened – cafe-bar “Lobby”… The main feature is a set of legendary shots: the cult Forrest Gump shot (800 rubles for 4 pcs.) Or a beetroot shot (800 rubles for 4 pcs.). The kitchen was staged by Nikita Maltsev, who also became the new chef of the House of Cultures. Menu with a Middle Eastern bias: mezze (390 rubles), labne (290 rubles), hummus with minced meat (390 rubles), falafel (290 rubles). Every couple of months, the cafe has a seasonal menu.

In September, the Gremm Group launched a new two-story gastroproject for the whole family “Market on Leninsky”… Now residents of the area do not need to go to the center for shopping and food.
