Fish in salt shell

This method of cooking is popular in Mediterranean dishes when you have to bake sea fish with small scales, and you will not clean it and stand by the stove.

Before cooking, the fish should be rinsed thoroughly and the stomach cleaned of the viscera. Put inside any spice, garlic.


Put ordinary salt in a bowl and gradually add water, stirring so that the salt is moistened. On average, 500 g of salt need 1-2 tbsp. l. cold water.

Sprinkle a baking sheet with a thin layer of wet salt, put the fish out so that the stomach is closed and the stomach is close to each other. Sprinkle salt on top and form a shell. The fish must be completely closed to them.

Bake for one hour at 200 degrees Celsius. Remove the bowl from the oven, make a hole in the shell with a knife and remove the salt layer.

Immediately remove the finished fish from the scales along with the skin, remove the bones, place on a plate, season with extra, sprinkle with lemon and vegetable oil.
