Scientists from America who specialize in health claims to wash raw chicken before cooking can lead to serious health problems.
However, the problem is not the chicken itself, but the fact that the food is quickly spread from the meat to other kitchen utensils during washing. When ingested, microbes can cause serious poisoning.
Scientists note that chickens are usually infected with campylobacteriosis or even salmonella.
Researchers gave some tips on how to avoid such a result. They strongly recommend storing meat in the refrigerator only in a plastic bag, and also use a separate table for slaughtering meat.
Another important rule is to wash thoroughly before and after handling hot water. The cutting board on which raw meat lay was to be washed immediately.
