Lasagna is a classic Italian dish that has become very popular all over the world.
Famous chef Jamie Oliver shared a recipe for a classic version of a dish that will delight you with a delicious taste. What you need for cooking: 1 kg of high quality minced meat (ideally marbled beef), 2 carrots, onions, 2 celery stalks, 2 cans of tomatoes, lasagna sheets, tomato puree, a little bacon (50 g), Cheddar cheese (100 g), fresh rosemary, 1 leek, a little flour, half a liter of milk, olive oil, nutmeg and bay leaf.
Cut bacon and rosemary, and fry thoroughly in olive oil. Stuffed in a pan. We prepare carrots and celery (cubes), onions (optional), cheese (on a coarse grater), squeeze the tomatoes with a spoon. All this is sent to vegetables along with water and tomato paste. Mix and cook for a few hours over low heat, add salt and remove from the stove.
We start cooking white sauce: For half an hour we simmer finely chopped leeks with bay leaf and black pepper. Try to see and add water to avoid burning. Add the flour and beat well so there are no lumps. Then comes the milk change: add it slowly, and stir, without stopping, so sauce comes out uniformly in consistency and flavor. After cooking, leave on the oven for another 10 minutes.
The sauce is passed through a blender to make it more uniform. After seasoning with nutmeg and cheese.
Then we continue with the main action: preheat the oven 180 degrees, take a special shape, place minced meat with vegetables – white sauce – lasagna leaves. The number of layers at your discretion. Add more cheese to the top layer. When serving, place basil on top to add a sophisticated flavor.
Remember, the bowl contains a lot of calories, so try not to abuse it. What to Serve with Lasagna: Goes well with light vegetable salads. You can choose Italian cuisine, such as cooking a caprese or a salad with cherries, arugula, mozzarella and basil.
